Versatility and adaptability is key. With all three members of the Chris Gable Trio playing several instruments, there’s a huge variety of settings they’re perfect for. Quiet acoustic vibes, all-out dancefloor bangers and everything in between - with a change of instruments, it’s like you booked two bands instead of one.
The Chris Gable Duo features fellow multi-instrumentalist & vocalist Tim Wilson on guitar, bass and backing vocals. This duo essentially has two unique lineups available: our sax & guitar duo, where we specialise in hip & classy acoustic instrumental renditions of popular tunes; and the guitar/bass/vocals duo, opening up all the usual guitar vocal repertoire - except a far bigger sound with the bass & backing vocal.
The Chris Gable Trio adds Luke Thatcher on drums & percussion – and, like the duo, is essentially two bands in one. For the quieter sets, Luke plays cajon (hand percussion), Tim sticks to guitar and Chris stays on sax. This is the sax acoustic trio.
The Chris Gable Trio is also capable of a bigger, more typical covers band sound - when we go to vocals, guitar, bass and drums; this is the lineup for performing dance sets to crowds large or small. Chris will usually break out the electric guitar for this lineup to open up a lot of classic rock repertoire and really get the dancefloor cranking.
